Cakes Made from Scratch with Simple Ingredients

Why My Prices Aren't Competitive with the Grocery Store

Let's be real here. There is a time and a place for grocery store cakes. Maybe you forgot your anniversary and need something Right.Now. Or you put off ordering a cake for your child's birthday until last minute, and now your favorite baker is booked and can't get you in. Maybe your budget just doesn't allow for a custom cake right now. We've all been there!

On the other hand, sometimes you want something a little more elevated. That's where I come in. I've been asked a few times why my cakes are more expensive, and I'm going to break that down a little. When you get a cake from the grocery store, typically that cake has been mass-produced in a factory and then sent to the store already made, frosted, decorated and frozen. At best, it's made in store with boxes of cake mix and pre-made frosting with mile long ingredient lists.

When you order a cake from me, it's made from scratch, from the cake to the frosting to the board it sits on. Iā€™m also a one-woman operation. I put hours and hours into each cake, making sure the flavors are on point and the design is well executed. I use local ingredients whenever possible. I don't use boxed cake mix, opting instead for flour, sugar, eggs and butter. My ganache and caramel are homemade, I make real buttercream frosting, every fruit filling is made from fresh fruit on my stove top. Naturally, these ingredients cost more than instant mixes, but I feel my clients deserve the highest quality I can give them, which is no less than I give to my own family. There is not a single part of your order that I don't put my all into, and hopefully that's reflected in the finished product.

Your cake will not only have a unique, one of a kind design, but rest assured, the ingredients will always be the finest quality!
